| Six people break through ice on Alaska river; one still missing Volunteers with Bethel Search and Rescue launched a search within the hour. They requested searchers from Akiachak, but poor weather and river conditions made any response from Akiachak too hazardous. The five people who managed to climb out of the water were recovered and taken to Bethel.
