| Vigil to remember boy, 7, killed in Anchorage crash Anchorage police said that the Basargins' Honda Accord was headed west on O'Malley Road near Lake Otis Parkway at about 8:30 p.m. on Jan. 16, when a Ford Explorer heading east on O'Malley made a left turn onto Lake Otis. The Accord had a green light, and the Explorer had a flashing yellow light.

| Alaska State Troopers Report On Jan. 21, Alaska State Troopers received a report of a disturbance in Kiana about 2 p.m. The village public safety officer in the community responded, along with the local village police officer. They conducted an investigation and arrested Martin Schaeffer, 36, of Kiana, for assaulting a family member.
